Postcards!!

Really great to get two postcards in the mailbox today.

The first is from Zoe & family at Playing By The Book with the cool Treasure Island postcard.

Her book recommendation was for the Findus & Pettson stories. I first remember these books when overseas, we came across both the books and magazines. I also distributed Findus & Pettson books that were received from Gecko Press, for the Earthquake Recovery, which I dropped off to Response centres located around Christchurch.

I will be looking out to see which of these series are available in local bookshops as they are really lovely stories, we have also found them at the local library!

Gecko Press have a number of great titles that they have translated and are distributing in New Zealand, including Around The World With Mouk, which I bought from the Te Papa bookshop in Wellington as part of my North Island road trip.



The second postcard is from Malini in India. This really great postcard has been drawn by hand!

The book recommendation was for a book called "The Lama, The Snow Leopard and The Thunder Dragon" written by John G Shulman.

"The Lama touches on contemporary and timeless issues as its three child heroes encounter tricky teachers, cheating bullies, talking animals, and two villainous brothers bent on destroying the natural beauty of the Himalayas in their quest for progress and development!"

This also sounds like a book series that we would very much enjoy reading too and will look to see where they could be obtained from.

We are looking forward to receiving more postcards also!
